Wanting to purchase one of these 5.11 packs just for general use. They seem like the best bang for the buck but if anybody has any other suggestions, feel free! Thanks.

Anything 5.11 or Maxpedition is good stuff.

I have a Maxpedition Vulture II. Which is equivalent to the Rush 72.

I decided a bigger bag suited my wants and needs better for all the uses I intended. It's a real all around bag for me. I use it for day hikes to the green belt for some swimming as well as extended weekend trips when I need to pack several days of clothes.

When I carry less stuff I can synch it down with the compression straps.

You just have to decide what your needs and wants are in a pack based on all your intended uses for it.

Plus I like how modular Maxpedition is with all the different pouches and things that I can add to my pack if I wanted too.

I still have room for more stuff.

I will take a lot of this out when I do day hikes or go on trips to lighten up the load.

I'm currently looking at the 5.11 All Hazards prime pack. It seems to be set up for more of the tactical operator type but Im sure it'll work fine as a general purpose pack.

I just ordered the 5.11 Tactical COVRT 18. It was between the 5.11 24hr, Maxpedition Condor II and COVRT 18. I chose the 18 because of the pockets for the water bottles and the fact that it can blend in better. I will be using it as my everyday carry. I do plan to buy another bag in the short future and it will be between the 24hr and the Condor unless I decide to go bigger then it will be between the 72 and the Vulture. Either way you go you can't go wrong with any of these bags.

I have a Rush 24 and a Rush 12. The 24 is a comfortable pack, tough and very well laid out. I'm still putting my pack together and testing different things but so far it fits everything I need for a 2 day camp or hike (shelter not being an issue).

My wife normally use the 12 when we go hiking as I did buy it for her. I'll use the 12 when I go hunting knowing I'll be walking a few miles. I like the 12 better for this because it smaller and fits tighter to the body so I have less trouble navigating through thick brush.

For a BOB or something to carry shelter I'd go bigger.

I purchased 2 MOAB 10 bags one for me and my wife to keep as Emergency Car bags. We keep them with us wherever we go and placed 100 liter Blackhawk hydration bladders in them as well as several first aid supplies and dry food. They are light and easy to carry and have plenty of room. The only thing i would change is the COMM pocket. It fits my Evo 3D phone but I tried to place some 2-way radios and they wouldn't fit. There needs to be hole to allow the antennae to come through.

I have the Rush 72 among other 5.11 products and they are always very durable and well thought out.

The MOAB 10's are awesome! Its what I use in one of my family vehicles.

I think the MOAB is part of the RUSH series of gear.

My fav bags in order:
1. Hazard 4
2. Maxpedition
3. 5.11

I own tons of 5.11 stuff, you just cant beat it for the price.
