The chick on there tonight annoys me for some reason. The smile/delight she had when the gunsmith/ survival expert tells her she has to be authoritative and not f*cking around attitude with her weapon was creepy. I think she's got some sort of control/power fetish.

I loved when she gave us the great advice of eating raw fish because cooking it 'reduces the nutrients' and at the bottom of the screen Nat Geo put "cooking fish does not reduce it's nutrients, but it does happen to kill the harmful parasites".

On top of that, I knew she was retarded when she said she would bug out to Mexico of all places! Yes....that's where I'd go too. The lawless country during peacetime. I'm sure it's a utopia during a crisis...

Another retarded episode of "Doomsday Preppers" tonight.

1) Guy with his family in the desert: Well, this guy can't even go target shooting without blowing his thumb off ... on TV. Yeah ... you put your thumb in front of a loaded gun and pulled the trigger. Then he and the show called it a "misfire." Wrong! Negligent discharge, idiots. A misfire is when the round fails to fire even though the primer has been struck sufficiently. Also, why would you want to live underground in the desert only about 10-15 miles from your home? Just hunker down and bug in. You live in what looks to be a secluded desert suburb. What are you gonna do when you run out of food or water in the desert, eat some sand?

2) Guy with his wife and children in the city: No guns in a SHTF scenario in New York. Good luck with that. I know you can't own guns there, which is all the more reason to leave. Sealing your apartment? What do you do when you run out of oxygen? Storing your extra food blocks away in a storage unit? Do you really think it will be there when you go to retrieve it? I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of that food being there. Bottom line, preparing for a massive volcano while living in the largest, most densely-populated city in the US (which does not allow guns) is not going to work. No matter what you do, you are screwed. Guess who will have guns? ... crooked cops and criminals. Again, good luck with that.

3) Old guy with family: Cool, bro, you have a backyard garden. What happens if a natural disaster wipes it out in minutes? Or what happens if marauders/looters harvest and steal all your produce in minutes, and there's nothing you can do about it because they have guns?

4) Guy with family in suburbs: So you have over 60 guns. Do you have the ammunition to go with them, or does any of your family really know how to shoot, seeing as you look about 65 years old and not very agile? Also, please tell your wife not to put a revolver with no trigger guard in her pocket loaded unless she's okay with shooting her kneecap off. Also, your hidden stash of food that only you and your family know about is no longer hidden, as it was shown on national TV. Your neighbors and anyone who knows you now know where you hide your stuff. And why are you buying brand name, expensive booze for bartering? Get generic stuff and save yourself some money, idiot.

At least I am glad the show calls them out on their shortcomings, but with the exception of a few segments, these people make me cringe when I see a gun in their hand or when I see them shooting. Despite claiming to have been shooting for years and being self-appointed gun experts, it looks like they are shooting for the first time...

And why is it always, "I have 60 assault rifles..." Cool... I'd rather have a few reliable ones and thousands and thousands of rounds of ammo along with spare parts, but that's just me.

Yeah his location is somewhere close to Interstate 87 in Arizona, I could see him driving through fountain hills, and I could see the Mountains in the back ground. So he's planning to build his bunker on public land...

The more I watch, I almost think this show does more harm than good. It doesn't show reasonable people like us with a couple survival rifles, healthy mindset, and supplies set away. It depicts questionably insane people with 50 assault rifles, 15,000 can of food, and false information showing they have no idea what they are talking about.

I suggest a new show titled "Doomsday Preppers Meet Their Days of Doom". It should test these doomsday people and see how prepared they really are by having people attack and try to take their stuff. Test for weaknesses/do the interview, plan an unannounced attack, and see how they do. Use paintball or some such to make it more realistic.

For the girl in Houston, see how far she really gets.

Stuff like that.
