I find it highly suspicious that they kicked out all IAEA inspectors from their plants (which by the way, France, UK, US, Germany, and others freely let inspect whenever they want) and are now launching medium-range missiles.
Before long, I think it's reasonable to expect that Israel will start launching air raids against Iranian facilites...c'mon...nukes, medium-range missles. That has "Death to Isreal" written all over it.

Iraq did the same thing, and alll we found was old discarded crap we sold them
If people are constatly screwing with you, and your effort to do anything, eventually you tell them to GTFO.

YEA,
We could have sold them this technology in exchange for oil rights ... But we need our boogieman.

I never said they were peace-loving. Not once. I never said that I support Iran, because I don't. However, you have to see things in more than just two extremes. It doesn't have to be either that Iran wants to kill the planet or Iran is peaceful. Please read my post again... There are many countries around the world that do harm to their citizenry, hate the US, break human rights, and do other terrible things. We don't attack them because they're not a threat to us.
As far as my statement of Iran saying that it was immoral to make chemical weapons, that's a true statement. They said it, not me. Does that mean that I think they're moral? Hell no. But... for a country that supposedly wants to end the world that doesn't make much sense does it?

And yes we've been involved for years, ever heard the Marine hymn?
"From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli" You know what that is about? That is us under Thomas Jefferson fighting the Muslims way back then...

I agree that we've been involved for years, but you have to look at the last century to understand why we are where we are. We got ourselves involved back in the 50's and have been installing dictators and running covert ops. They don't hate us because we're free. They hate us because we're acting like an empire.

I urge you to look more into the details because there's more to it than what Hannity and Rush talk about. And... the fight that Thomas Jefferson got involved in had something to do with our national security... PIRATES!

You'll never learn anything IMO about any of the candidates, by only watching 30 second responses during a debate ... Especially when the establishment media is controlling the debates.
And item #3 ... Yea, I'm very informed about each candidate and their positions on many areas of policy.
And while it is an insinuation, it is also a statement of truth, based on your item #1 ... Research them all, and discount none of them, until you have evaluated and chosen the individual who best fits your principles.

I sometimes come across very harshly when I see people commenting about Presidential candidates, while not really knowing what they are talking about ... Research them all, but realize that I will correct things that are not even close to being true about a candidate, but especially one that I best seem to align with on principle.

I have done the research and Ron Paul's own words are what convinced me I can never support the man. I was very close to being in support of him, but he shot himself down wirth his own words. His loss.
He would make a great Sec of Treas for Herman Cain!

I don't listen to Hannity and Rush. And I don't consider abcnews a credible source.
I don't think we need to be setting up so-called puppet govs and dictators. But the point is, Right here and right now, Iran getting a nuke IS a threat to our national security.
And if you don't think Iran with a nuke is a threat to our National Security, you really need to do a little research. I listed these before, but I'll do it again. Go read some books/articles by any(or all!) of these(and there are others) Walid Phares, Walid Shoebat, Robert Spencer .

And you watch/listen/follow Fox News because . . . ? They hired Sarah Palin as a commentator for Chist's sake. Need I say more???

And you base your OPINIONS on what the media releases. Didn't you mention watching Fox News earlier? I rest my case.

Reading your posts and those of your wife, you carry a concealed weapon. Why? Has a person threatened you or your wife to cause grave bodily harm or death and is it reasonable to believe they would soon? If not, then you don't need to CC a weapon.

Now run on over to the political section of this forum, and do some reading about his foreign policy and how he is not an "isolationist" but is actually a non-interventionist.
Perhaps you should start with this thread:
NO ONE would mess with a Ron Paul President, he is petrifying
and
FOREIGN POLICY DOSSIER: Ron Paul
then proceed to do some more research, because you have no clue about he or I.
And I have no problem with a non-interventionist who can say "You go wo war to win, and then you come home".
He's not your typical nation building moronic politician

LOL!!!! Yeah, don't go by what the various news outlets report. If you want "news" go directly to the Ron Paul propaganda site. LOL!!! Think about this and let it sink in . . . how many marriages survive without compromise? Hahahaha
FYI, there are experts for any and every viewpoint. There was a time when there were lines of "experts" stating that cigarette smoking was not harmful to your health. They even had the lab results to prove it. Where are they now? There was a time when "experts" said that communism would fail yet who is everyone turning to for money/bailout funds? Where are these "experts" now?

I don't think it's a threat to US National Security. What intelligence tells you it is? It may be a threat to Isreal though, or even the region. But... as I stated before Israel could take care of themselves and I'm not entirely convinced that it would be a threat to the region. Pakistan transports their nukes in unmarked vans and has elements within their ranks that supported Bin Laden and other groups, but we don't start a war with them.
Here's an interesting fact, in the early 80s Israel bombed facilities in Iraq because they perceived a threat. The United States Congress voted to basically tell them that they had gone too far and to back off. There was a man that did not vote to tell Israel that and went against the many Republicans, Ron Paul.
I agree that you can find experts for anything, that's a true statement. However, the facts are what they are, fact. The fact is that Israel could, by themselves, take care of Iran. The fact is that Israel has a few allies within the region that would help them. The fact is the only evidence that states that Iran is makeing a nuke is speculative (the same type of evidence that stated Iraq had WMD). The fact is that we can no longer afford to be an empire nor can we afford another war. Our military is spread thin and our troops are ready to come home. Listen, I'm not all out anti-war. If the congress thinks there is a threat to national security they can declare war. It's simple and its constitutional.
There is a reason that Ron Paul get's 50% of military monetary support while Obama gets 28% and the other candidates only 22%.
