Food Insurance It's a little pricey, but it's convenient and garunteed for 25+ years in storage.

Envirofit Stoves

I just bought a stove from Envirofit (www.envirofit.org). I've been trying to get one for years, but the rep said they just started offering them in the U.S.A. this month. I am excited to receive my G3000! I'll post pics once I get it up and running.

Not bad for info but I found some of the members to be fairly rude.

Amazon.com: Emergency Survival Food Supply 275 Meal Pack: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: Emergency Survival Food Supply 275 Meal Pack: Sports & Outdoors

I have this, along with several Wise Foods supplies in my closets.

Sure, there are better long storage foods, but this is relatively inexpensive and does not take up much room in the closet.

I also have one of those Mt. House Best Sellers kits (about 35 bucks on Amazon) as well as two cases of MREs.

Again....not tons of food...but enough to make it until we can get to better stuff or shoot a deer out of the woods! LOL

These suggestions are for those that don't want to spend tons and don't have a lot of storage space.

Shop smart and you too can have at least 3 months of food that stores/hides/packs easy, lasts a long time and runs well under 500 bucks.

PS: be sure to include a decent water purifier/filtration unit in with your stash.
