I'd add to your rep for that one, if this board had rep.

Wouldn't it be kind of hard to steady your aim with 15 shotguns shells swinging around. Seems like they'd be tough to get out of the holders in a hurry also. In a defensive situation I don't think I'd want my hands reaching for shells that are moving around. Looks pretty cool, but IMO not very practical for HD.
Which was exactly the reason I asked what the intended purpose was.

You don't want a sling on a HD gun. It is virtually to snag door knobs, bed posts, and gives the BG something to grab should things get too close. And I agree....I wouldn't want all that weight on my hunting shotgun. Which leaves the "or something else" part of my inquiry.

I disagree with you here, I have a sling on my 870 for the reason that if it has a malfunction, or runs empty I can transition to my sidearm without having to leave my 870 laying there for someone else to pick up, fix, and shoot me with. Just me though...

OK.....if you can't keep it running in your own house but the bad guy can....you are right....you would be best served by not leaving it laying around.

I have the one from CTD and it almost sucks because the snaps that adjust the size keep unsnapping themselves.

It's actually no problem to aim and once you get the hang of it getting the shells out isn't much worse ( if at all ) than having shells in your pocket.
My main reason for having one is it maximizes the versatility of a shot gun. I have 000, slugs and lighter loads in my bandysling. If something is goin on outside ( not necessarily a HD situ ) I can just grab the 870 and load as the need calls for. I usually have 2s or 4s in the mag as they are pretty versatile themselves.
Gonna check out the one from Blackhawk.

I disagree I think the sling is a good idea. If used properly it can make the shotgun even if it's empty a weapon. Think about it. Plus if you ever have to switch to your handgun for some reason your not putting the shotgun down where the BG might be able to get it and use it against you. The shells on the end like that to me seems like it would be a problem to get to and remove from the sling easily. If your tugging on the shells your also tugging on the end of the barrel and your eyes would seem to me would be on where your reaching and not on the situation at hand.
If I ever needed 15 rounds I think I'd rather have them on my waiste where I don't have to look to remove them. JM .02

I don't like the idea of a sling with shotgun shells for a couple of reasons.

1. They tend to fall out
2. I like the idea of a shotgun scabbard (shot shell slings don't play well with those)
3. On a full stock, I already add a nylon 6 pack, plus I add a side saddle on all my pumps with another 6 pack.

Never EVER had a shell fall out of mine.
