You guys know your guns, but can you deal with edged weapons and/or bring your gun into play while under attack? Come and learn these skills often neglected by "gun-folks".
I'm hosting an edged weapons seminar in the Sacramento area August 30-31st, taught by a top-tier edged weapons instructor, Tom Sotis of AMOK! index Here are the course descriptions: SATURDAY - ACCESSING WHILE UNDER ATTACK In this course you will learn how to get your weapon into the fight. You will learn how to salvage being ambushed, how to counter single and combination attacks, quick jabbing strikes, and how to counter transitions from jabs to committed attacks. Following solutions to bladed attacks, you will learn a set of solutions to variables introduced by the attacker’s free hand. Once the chaos has been brought under your management, this course will focus on how to draw and deploy a folding knife, or pistol. This training will put you in good standing for defensive situations you may encounter in the real world. SUNDAY - EDGED WEAPONS COMBAT This is AMOK!’s flagship course that will teach you how to prevail in knife-to-knife conflict. This course emphasizes full-on knife-to-knife battle tactics that you need to defeat a determined and capable foe. You will receive more practical fighting tactics in this course than most methods have in their entire curriculum. Suitable for both civilian defenders and professional operators; no experience or prior training is needed to attend this no BS course. Training gear: Hard-contact trainer provided Safety gear: Eye protection, forearm guard, and mouth guard Optional: Pocket Folding Trainer and/or Plastic/Airsoft Pistol and holster Both courses are done in real time with pressure so there leaves no question as to how the material functions in combat. Cost is $250 for both courses - please pm me if interested or you have questions as this course is filling up.

This isn't the exact same seminar, but gives you a flavor of similar training concepts we'll be using/reviewing during the AMOK seminar vs. "traditional" unrealistic training.

Looks like a great class. The dates are tough for me. Normally a holiday weekend would work fine, but one of my key people is out the week before and after.
Keep posting anything like this.
