SouthEastern Wisconsin/Milwaukee Area Range Day 3

Hello Folks,

The weather here in SE Wisconsin is finally starting to get a bit nicer and I was thinking that it's high-time we had another range day.

The first range day was an afternoon of shooting at McMiller Sports Center followed by burgers, beer, and conversation at ActionAl's house. Some folks brought a variety of weapons so that people could try new things (including an M1A SOCOM II).

The second range day was organized by ActionAl and was an IDPA style course preceeded by classroom time with an IDPA Champion at Schulz Rod and Gun Club. Fantastic! I only wish that we had scheduled some social time for after the shooting. Meeting all of you folks and putting faces to the names is great!

If golks have some ideas for the third Milwaukee Area/SE Wisconsin XD-Talk Range Day, post them up!

I don't have any good ideas, but I'm definitely up for whatever as long as I don't have to work!

I was chatting with a friend who suggested a series of tactical exercise in which an obstacle would have to be overcome followed by shooting a hostage silhouette target. Like climbing through window or running a short distance, etc..

It sounds like a great challenge and a lot of fun. The only problem is that I don't know of any ranges that would allow this sort of thing.

You could just make people do pushups and jumping jacks or whatnot to get their heart rate up and make them a little shaky...

A 5 alarm chili eating contest followed by shooting? j/k
I'd actually like if we did another day like the last one, maybe with out a repeat of the classroom stuff... Followed by a cookout maybe?
Who knows- All I know is that I wish I could find an outdoor range around here that I liked. Any recommendations?
