What about SA (Springfield Armory) sending a gift box to support this event in SA (San Antonio)? Tell us more!

Hehehe... SA XD round up in SA TX! Kinda catchy.

well, i called Springfield and told them about our forum and that we had interest from guys all over Texas and we were doing an XD shootout. we will have a few contests (which will be known to all the day of the shoot) and the lady said it sounded like fun and asked if she could come shoot with us!! I told her "Sure!" and she asked how many participants... I told her 15-25 at this point in time ((hoping for a great turnout)) and she said she would get us a "gift box" together with stuff for participants and winners of contests. Could be anything from stickers to hats or T-shirts, or lapel pins or a coupon for XD gear??? I have no idea. When I get the box I will converse with TacoMalo to discuss contents and distribution..... BUT I will say... IF there is an XD in that box... YOU WILL NEVER KNOW!!!

Also... just for everyone's info... for those that show up, there will be a discussion of the next XD shootout location... TacoMalo and myself have discussed this a bit in that if this is successful and everyone has a great time and want to start an XD shootout event-- either semi-annual or annual, that we move it to other locations in TX other than San Antonio... so we will discuss city of next get together so the same folks aren't always having to drive long distances.

And as a beforehand comment(hoping to not put the cart before the horse) Thank you to everyone willing to travel and participate and make this a successful event that we can all be proud of!!!

SA is not going to be there... the rep was just expressing an interest and a day of fun. I have not met Michelle. I have seen Carol and Herb. I will PM Michelle and see if she can be there for us.... I spoke to Carol today.... I just PM Michelle to invite her to join us!!

Ok. I talked to my chickie-babe. She's an XD9sc owner and now she's more interested. Is there a prize for the ones who traveled the farthest? Hehehe....

M...A...Y...B...E...????.. prizes depend on what is in the "mystery gift box".... we may even have a blind raffle for a prize or two... I just need to find a blind guy to raffle off....ROFL

I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda looking forward to the whataburger. The ones in Waco suck.

I'll manage though, there's always the return trip.

Sounds like a lot of fun, can't wait. I'm glad Springfield is sending some stuff, they're really an awesome company.

Not sure if I can make it but it sure sounds interesting. If I should go there are decisions to make....do I bring the xd45 xd40 or xd9 decisions decisions.

I have participated with the xd group out of Houston on several shoots. They are a fantastic group of people and I would love to see the same kind of group here in the San Antonio area.
