Thumbs up Well worth it XDTalkers - if you want to improve your combat skills - go!

+10 for these classes!

You'll dramatically rev up your combat shooting skills and get away from the typical "square" range movement and shooting exercises...

They're really fun as well...bring much ammo!

If you won't fight when victory is certain, and if you won't fight when victory is not too costly, you may come to the moment when you have no choice but to fight with the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you fight with no hope of victory, because it is better to perish as warriors than to live as slaves.

Point Shooting Progressions

"It's not about point shooting......it is about what can be done with point shooting."

This course has really taken on a life of it's own. With all of the input that I get from all of the usual sources.....with all of the input that I get from every student that goes through it, the course is in a constant state of improvement. To call it "a point shooting course" really only tells a fraction of the story.

The real focus of the course is on the mental aspect of the fight inside of the fight continuum. Point shooting is just one strand inside of this "intertwining" of skill sets.

React as you need to react.

Move as you need to move.

Draw as you need to draw.

See what you need to see.

Work the grip and trigger as you need to work the grip and trigger.

All within the correct context of the fight.

The first PSP group course of 2008 is in Vegas (Boulder City) in three weeks....hope to see you there.

This is the weekend following the SHOT show.

There has been a Los Angeles CA. and a Culpeper Va. course added on The courses can be found here, SUAREZ INTERNATIONAL USA - SCHEDULE - (92 776-4492

Point Shooting Progressions Course Overview

“Situations dictate strategy, strategy dictates tactics, and tactics dictate techniques......techniques should not dictate anything.”

“The Fight Continuum”

“The fight will be what the fight will be.” React as you need to react, move as you need to move, see what you need to see….all dependent on the distance and your position in the reactionary curve. This will be an in depth look at the mental aspect of the fight and the intertwined skill sets that make up the best solutions for specific situations.

This course comes directly out of my experience in Gabe’s “Interactive Gun Fighting” course. Immediately after that course I went out looking to train with the very best point shooters in the country. This course is a direct link to my findings while training with Gabe, 7677, and Matt Temkin. This course is designed to make a shooter the very best that they can be in regards to point shooting with dynamic movement. It is designed to make the shooter more well rounded and completely versatile inside of the “The Fight Continuum.” After this course you will be able to use your hand/eye coordination to make combat accurate hit from any angle, from any position, throughout your one and two handed draw stroke, with whatever movement is necessary. This course is designed to fill in the gaps in prior sighted fire training so that the shooter can seamlessly integrate sighted and unsighted fire into one “simply shooting” concept. We look to integrate our conditioned responses seamlessly with our natural human responses so that best solution for the problem (for you) is handled quickly and easily at the subconscious level.

Precision sighted fire

Flash sight picture shooting

Alternative aiming methods and the subconscious programming

Quick Fire (driving the gun)

Introduction and benefits of below line of sight point shooting

Mid point of drawstroke point shooting

Count three point shooting

Focal transition drills

Failure to stop drill

Thorough exploration of the “Zipper”

Two handed multiples at appropriate distances with appropriate extension, integration of sighted fire

Introduction and benefits of one handed point shooting (FSA=Fairbairn, Sykes, and Applegate)

Completely versatile drawstroke, using hand/eye coordination off of the visual centerline, eliminating any sort of stance dependence.

Line of sight point shooting (FSA point shoulder)

FSA three quarter hip

FSA half hip

Elbow up/ Elbow down

“First shot trigger technique”

Complete exploration of the progression of Elbow up/Elbow down

One handed focal transition drills

One handed failure to stop drill

One handed zipper, integration of sighted fire

One handed multiples at appropriate distances with appropriated extension, integration of sighted fire

Introduction to controlled movement and sighted fire

Fluid Situational Response

Get the heck out of Dodge movement and the use of cover with sighted fire

A complete exploration of the “dynamic movement drawstroke”

Four elements of accurate shooting with dynamic movement

Movement must have “purpose” lecture

Dynamic movement while fighting in all directions from varying distances with varying extension.

The gun In Quartata

Zippering on the move

Parallel tracking

Using movement to open up “sectors” and the complete exploration of those sectors

“The first shot drill”

Directional changes, feints, jukes, cutbacks, and elliptical movement

Footwork pivot

Confined spaces drills

Emergency response drill

Handgun transfers and ambidextrous shooting

Put it all together “Zig-zag” drills

Put it all together “S” drills (dependent on class size, “marching” drills will replace the “S” drills in larger classes)

Plus a lot more……1800 rounds minimum…..if you want to shoot more, bring more!
