We sat down this afternoon and finalized the details of the second Central Ohio XDTalk Shoot, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 30th. Here are the highlights:

Sign-in/Registration at 10:00am
Safety meeting at 10:30am
Shooting starts at 11:00am
Break for lunch at 1:00pm
Shoot continues until everyone leaves or runs out of ammo!

As far as the shooting goes, we are planning three IDPA style stages and a steel plate shoot. There will be prizes for the top few shooters as well.

Once everyone has completed the stages, there will be open shooting on the 50 yard range... Run whatcha brung! If there is enough interest, we will also open the 300 yard rifle range.

Lunch will consist of burgers and brats, chips and pop/water. There are also pop machines onsite for use throughout the day.

The cost will be $20 per shooter, which includes lunch and a full day of shooting. Non-shooters are welcome, but they will have to pay $4 for lunch if they want to eat.

If you're planning on coming, please post here. That will keep the post at the top as well as give me an idea on how much food I'll need to buy to feed everyone (Let me know if you're bringing a non-shooter that is going to eat). If you have any additional questions, post them here (for the benefit of everyone else) and I'll answer them ASAP.

1 for sure, possibly 3-4. again, will advise in last few days before the event. Oh, and I finally got that savage shooting decent groups again.

shot it.

at around 100 rds, it was lucky to be holding 4" groups. Took it to Knob Creek last weekend and put some more rounds down range and up to about 180 rds and at 100 yds, I was doing 1.5" groups on a sore shoulder. Was hitting bowling pins out at 250. I do need to get that thing bedded and double check the torque on the action screws.

New barrel break-in is always a pain in the... shoulder.

sounds like a good time, count me in, what do we need to bring as far as gear/mags goes?

edit, is this an "XD only" event or can i bring my 1911 too??
