XD's are preferred, but we had all brands there on the first get together. Just bring what you have and I would guess enough mags to run a 30 round course of fire. If you shoot steel like I did you may want to bring 10+ mags. You will need a holster too.

The little iced brownies were worth the trip itself.

I'll have to see if I can coax Mrs. Hooz into helping out with the food again.

I'm also making sure that all of my set-screws are Loctited in this time! I should be able to make it through the steel stage on a single mag as long as my sights don't fall off!

philman: Does your son have a holster and mag pouch this time, or should I bring an extra?

sounds good, i think i'll just stick to the xd-9, 30rds with a 1911 would make for alot of mag changes

you ever thought having something like shooting steel with pistol caliber carbines? i'd love to run thru a course with my 9mm AR

I didn't know about the possibility that brownies would be there the first time. I won't make that mistake again. I'm bringing a cooler with milk, just in case !!!
