Anybody in Indiana want a Utah permit?

I am trying to organize a class in central or east central Indiana. Please PM me if you are interrested in participating. I have a certified instuctor who will give us a discount based on group size.

Some of the information:

Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Class

Would you like to have a permit that would afford you the opportunity to
carry your defensive handgun in 31 states? A UT Concealed Firearm Permit
will do just that!

The cost of a UT permit is $59 for the first 5 years, then $10 for renewals.
(Compare that to the FL permit, $117 every 5 years, and the VA or MN permits
at $100 each, every 5 years.)

With the UT permit, you get reciprocity with OH and the difficult to get MN,
along with 29 other states at this time (according to packing.org &
handgunlaw.us), with other states signing agreements with UT each year!

The class lasts approximately 3 hours and costs $150.00 per person. If you
belong to the NRA, GOA , or any other pro gun organization, you will be
given a discount.

[As of 1/07 the states that recognize UT are; AK, AL, (AR), AZ, CO, (DE),
FL*, GA, ID, IN**, KY, LA, MI*, (MN), MO, (MS), MT, NC, ND, NH*, (NM), (OH),
OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, (VA), VT, (WA), WY.]

*requires a "resident" permit.

** For IN residents, must have an IN License to Carry Handgun

( ) States that recognize UT, but not IN LTC's.

class forming info

Class will most likely occur in mid-August near Indy/Anderson area. I am working with a guy certified to teach the Utah class. Cost for 3 hour class will be about $150 BUT he'll do 10% OFF for membership in a national organization (NRA, GOA, JPFO, etc.) & another 10% for membership in a state/local org.(this web group!)
You will need LEO fingerprints, a passport photo and official ID documents. You do not need a gun to participate or the IN permit to carry but the IN permit is required to carry a gun in Indiana to the class itself. Please PM me if interrested. I need about 10 people to make this happen. There will also be a $75 deposit to reserve a space in the class and balance due the day of the class.
More details to follow...

Myself, like most here will balk at the $150 cost, even minus 10%.

FWIW You can pay 35-40 bucks for NRA course and get a FLA non resident permit, save money overall and carry in more states.

I wouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for a 3 hour class like that. Just trying to be honest and explain why in the 3 months or so you've been asking people no one has bitten.

Yes, the cost is high for the class but considering the Florida renewal is $117 every 5 years, in the long run it's a better deal.

Just my 2 cents...
