The Kenner show was OK, not as many booths as the last time, guns were a little pricey compared to what I can get them for in the Lafayette area. However, one of the dealers did purchase our old S&W Sigma (SW40VE) for $230, which was what I was going to list it for sale at anyway...he would've given us more if we traded it, but he didn't have a Witness Elite Match or XD9Tac.
There's also a gun show going to be in Lafayette in March. We went to the one today in Kenner, I'll probably hit the one in Gonzales next weekend, then the one in Lafayette in March. A word to the wise, avoid the gun shows held in Lake Charles...they are very small, not much there, and a waste of the cost of admission...we went to one last weekend, no reloading supplies, very few actual firearms vendors, and I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the only pistol of worth there (to me anyway), a Witness Elite Match in .38super (I was looking for a 10mm).

I hit the Kenner show on Saturday, and being my first one, it was pretty freaking sweet. Guns were cheap, the ammo I thought could be found at WallyWorld for cheaper, and I was thiiiiis close to snagging a Taurus PT1911...
Oh, and if that Taser had gone off ONE more time, I was gonna snap...

I'm on the prowl for a fantastic .22lr Pistol, and I've narrowed it down to the Ruger series. I'm borrowing my dad's old '65 MKI and I would love to have one of the MKII 10" Bull Barrel styles, but how's your MKIII shooting? I heard the extra features were aggravating, but I would really like a mag release instead of the alternative.
