I am not local, but I drove through Chattanooga a couple of weeks ago for the first time and let me say that it is a beautiful area. I am a big fan of TN. Outside of Texas, of the states I have visited, it is my favorite place in this great country. I live in IL.

it's definitely pretty country, and i have an indoor range about 100 yards down the road so that's a plus, not too many to shoot with though. Just got my dad to purchase an hk usp .40 compact (he can afford it and i get to shoot it!) so hopefully that will lead to me having somebody to shoot with more often.

Well, I'm not exactly local, but I'm close enough. I live in Winchester, about 45 minutes west of Chattanooga just over Monteagle Mtn. If you are ever in the mood to shoot some action pistol type stuff (IDPA, USPSA, 3 gun), check out Mid TN Shooters in Manchester. http://www.midtnshooters.com

Lived in Chattanooga for 3 yrs, Signal Mtn, Red Bank, Hamilton area. Very nice city, beautiful. Back in Florida now though born and raised here.
