Whenever my wife drags me to her families events out of state, I research and attend at least one shooting event. It's very interesting to see the differences and similarities. I went to a bullseye match in Topeka, KS once and everyone wanted to talk to me, seems they hadn't had a new shooter for years so everyone noticed I was new.
What I've discovered is each shoot is nearly identical from state to state; the people, the guns, the action. In the southern states, they go out DRINKING afterwards, that was fun. |
