I wouldn't say that it's totally a non-issue in handguns, but a minimal issue and relative to velocity. Also JHPs very often have shorter bearing surfaces than FMJ, i.e. Golden Sabers and XTPs....

Yeah, you'll be further handicapped by the 3.8" barrel. They probably wouldn't be fun to shoot from the compact, but I have older Ramshot data where they made warm .45 ACP loads using Enforcer which...

Then we'll know!

My guess is that since it was such an early production model, they simply got in too big of a hurry. The Pawl should be stainless, at least I hope it is, and shouldn't have been...

And, consider that most factory loaded 185 gr. JHPs would be in the 950 - 1000 FPS neighborhood from the XDm. I would definitely go to a slightly slower burning powder for that. True Blue is what I...

Hey, JSG! When I shot .40 S&W I used a lot of Rem. 155 gr. JHPs and they were great as far as bulk bullets go. Also shot a good number of 165 gr. Golden Sabers loaded with a number of different...

If that were the case, the riflemakers would be totally in error. The CIP/NATO spec for 5.56mm NATO chambers would have had to change to make that even a remote possibility. There is no way a 5.56mm...

Actually, irresponsible comes to mind. At 35,000 PSI, you're pushing the .40 S&W envelope as hard as you need or want to. It really is about the powder used more than anything else where LongShot has...

Congrats, meltedchip, 3N37 is an excellent 9mm powder if you don't mind paying a little more for it. It is just barely slower burning than Silhouette and I try to keep some around for that reason....

Snap, I think you'll be very pleased once your 715 is returned. You could always contact CS and ask what they found to be the problem and what steps they'll take to correct them. ;)
