ccw class range test

My husband and I took our CCW class on Sunday and it was great! My husband and I both did very well.

I was the only person in the class of about 30 to get a perfect score on the written and then I went out to the range and got a perfect score there! I am very excited! I had some men surprised and impressed.

I of coarse shot my Springfield XDM compact in 9mm and it ran flawlessly no surprise, (unfortunately one guy's Kimber malfunctioned twice .) I was a little nervous waiting for my turn to shoot. But when I got up to the line, and got the gun in my hand, it felt good! I was ready! I really think I need to get into some competetion, I think I would enjoy it.

Anyway sory for the rambling but I just needed to brag a little and share with some ppl that would understand. : )

I applied for my permit on Wednesday and I ordered my first Crossbreed yesterday!

Below is a pic from the range test. 50 rounds, 12', 21' and 30' 40 rounds were two handed and 5 each left and right hand unsupported.

Congrats on your CCW results, that's really awesome!

Instead of competition shooting think about taking as many defensive pistol classes as you can find. I found these to be more enjoyable and informative. IMO this is something that will help you more if ever one got in a tight spot.

Thanks everyone! : )

I plan on carrying as often as possible. I am saving up for my next gun which will be a summer carry gun and trying to figure out my wardrobe to fit my current gun until then.

15shot, I am definetly going to take more classes. I already have some defensive pistol classes picked out and I want to try IPDA. ; )

I am just so excited..lol can you tell?

You sound like you're having a great time with your new hobby / lifestyle. That really is some nice shooting. What are you looking at for a summer carry gun? My wife and I just took our CCW class and applied for our licenses. She's going to be carrying a Ruger LC9. She just bought a concealed carry purse. Wants to do a purse carry until she gets more accustomed to wearing a holster. Keep us posted on your develpment.
