XDm 3.8 9mm First time out
Being a owner of many glocks, I jumped ship and purchased a 3.8 9mm XDm on Tuesday. Today was my first time shooting it. Only got to put 200 rounds through it.
First round wasn't that great... But what do you expect? I'm so used to other firearms it didn't frustrate me.
Towards the end of the shoot I was shooting just as good as I do with any of my glocks, maybe even better. I was still hitting solid groups at 35yds.
My only complaint, the trigger. Too long for me. I've been reading about the PRP trigger kits so I might go that route.
Overall, with some more time and a little adjustments it may be my new favorite handgun!

Hello and welcome to the forum from Florida. As you know, it is all about the practice. The more you shoot it, the more you are going to love it. It took me a little time to get the accuracy I was use to with other guns.

My First XDM
I recently purchased the XD-M 45 3.8. I have owned other .45ACP , but I really love this gun. My first time at the range was awsome. I put about 200 rounds though it, and not a single jam. Grouping was fantastic, what a great product. What I was really surprised about was how clean the gun was when I bought it. I broke it down to clean and lubricate, but was shocked at how Springfield cleaned it before shipping. The only question I have is about copper fouling. I have heard that the copper left in the bore doesn't matter, and other have said it does. I am used to having a clean bore but haven't been able to get this clean. Any ideas on how to remove it. Thanks
