I was in the neighborhood of The Arms Room today so I stopped in for some practice. They were busy as usual for a Saturday. I got lucky and drew lane 15, all the way at the end of the range. As I was setting up, some dude had a ka-boom a few lanes down. I didn't see what happened but the range-master pulled everyone off the line and went down range to retrieve parts. The guide rod and slide were 5-7 yards out.
When we were given the all clear I stepped back up to the line and began practicing. Couple of magazines at 10 yards to warm up and then all the way out at 22.5 yards. More at 20, 15, 10, and 8. In total I shot 200 rounds of Tula with two flyers.
Guess that makes me a 99%er since 99% of my shots were on target. The flyer at the top was out there at 22.5 yards. The one on the right was shooting left handed. (weak hand) I'm counting the two at the bottom because they're barely on the blue.
I also shot a few rounds out of my carry gun, a KelTec PF-9.
It broke and springs and stuff came flying out.
EDIT: Almost forgot. When I was waiting for a lane, some dude was shooting an AR with a slide-fire stock. It was pretty neat. Fun way to burn up a LOT of ammo in a hurry. He was firing in bursts and it seemed quite controllable.
