DPMS Oracle First rounds fired
Alright so i am on a super budget, and i wanted an AR 15. The best bang for my buck i could find was a DPMS Oracle. i put magpul furniture on it, a UAG drop in Tactical rail, and some magpul BUIS (It doesn't come with sights on it and that was fine with me). I have had it for about 3 weeks and today was the first day i could get it to the range. I was pleasantly surprised. the MBUS sights were dead on with the first 3 rounds fired. i know i have to break it in so i started to throw some rounds down range to get it warmed up. after 180 rounds it performed flawlessly and was still accurate as could be. the rifle ran through all the federal 193 ball rounds, and the 60 American eagle 223 rounds i fired through it without a hiccup. the only complaint i have is the rail i chose has no heat shields and it heats up QUICK, but that's not the rifle's fault. all in all i think this is a solid little rifle that will serve my needs as a range/home defense rifle.

Nice looking rifle! Just curious, what was the final tally $ wise?
It's almost identical to what I plan on building.

i got the rifle for 629 out the door, the UAG rail for 35, Pistol grip for 15, trigger guard for 6, the stock for 63, the sights were 80, and i paid 7 for the rail covers, so around 830. i had the pmags from my time in the military, but i think cheaper than dirt has them for around 13 bucks. i also had the Angled Foregrip from my time in the service, and i dont remember how much i paid for that. still a budget AR IMO

Nice looking. Im a dpms fan. My bull 20 was just over $900 . I lived in ny so I went with the magpul prs. Put a nice grip on it and some other things on it. Best investment was sending the barrel to be cryo accurized. It shoots 1/3" groups easily. I was going to build a carbine but moved here and spent my money on pistols.

Oracle photos
Hey man,
Anyway you can snap a few more photos of your rifle. I am in Afghanistan at the moment but am looking at picking up an Oracle to start a low cost build.
Specifically - I am interested in the Magpul BUIS on the front. Is it awkward having it closer to you when looking down them? Does it make the gas block look weird as well?
