President's Day Range Report

Had the day off, went to the Spring Guns and Ammo for some range time.

First, had to work on my Bersa Thunder .380. Brought a different magazine than last time, shot 49 flawless rounds of WWB and then this happened.





So this is the 5th failure of this type in about 130 rnds. This failure sucks because you (or I've had to) have to eject the magazine to clear the round.

These rounds have blunt nose bullets. I don't think that is really the problem, because the other 4 failures have been with round nose bullets.

On a better note, I shot 203 flawless rounds through my XD(m), 9mm. Here is a pic of the last 50 (I think it was actually 51) rounds of simulating the Texas CHL shooting test (20@3yds, 20@7yds, 10@15yds)
