My wife, my dad and I went out about 9:30 this morning. We put about 120 rounds downrange. Overall, it wasn't too bad.
We used the *awesome* targets from
this thread. All shots were from 4 yards with my .40 xdsc
My first 9 rounds - meh...not super happy with this, but it gets better.
My wife's first 12 rounds - yea, she did pretty good.
My dad hasn't shot in a *long* time, but he still didn't do too bad:
My 2nd magazine (12 rounds). I *think* I had a flyer with this one, but there's a little debate as to whether two rounds went through the same hole (just above the words "jerking or slapping the trigger" in that section).
My wife's 2nd magazine - I think she was rushing a bit because this sucks compared to her magazine:
My 3rd magazine - I did rush a bit on this set. The bullseye was the first shot.
My wife's 3rd magazine - she slowed down a bit and started focusing on her front site a bit more:
My dad's final magazine - he started to pull it together toward the end and said he wants to shoot more (possibly get his own gun too!):
My final magazine - not terribly happy with this one either, especially the two outside the circle. I know I rushed on those. I *did* really start to focus on the front site more *and* only allowed the trigger to reset instead of letting it go all the way forward:
