Whoopsie
4 day weekend went to the range
So the only thing I can figure is that the round blew up in the chamber. I was shooting reloaded ammo bought here in Colorado at the last gun show. I haven't been able to get a hold of the people that made the ammo or Springfield to see what can be done about the weapon. Wife wants me to get rid of it but I think its the ammo. Any advice about weather the ammo people are liable for my gun?

Your photo's aren't showing up.
Also Springfield will not warranty any weapon damaged from RELOADS, period. It's a lawyer thing. They might look at it and give you an estimate to repair it back to factory spec, but that's all they can do.
Personally i NEVER shoot reloads that I didn't make myself, but I'm kind of paranoid like that. I realize that reloads from gun shows can be very economical but cheaper is sometimes very expensive...

WOW! Sorry to see that. Glad you're mostly ok. Please follow up with what you find out. Is the barrel clear? Maybe a squib in there?

Thanks, feelings and pride is still hurt. My hand hurt so bad on Friday, I stuck my hand outside on the way home and the wind was causing me pain.

Ouch. Springfield should be able to fix you up, but it won't be on their dime. Good luck holding the reloaders to task for the kaboom. Document everything, gather up your receipt and any unfired rounds from them and see what they have to say for themselves. Chances are they won't make right, but here's hoping they do.
