I did some thinking and realized that it's silly to spend money on fancy targets that I'm just going to punch holes in. So I went out to the store and got a pack of paper plates. They work great for me since I'm not a target shooter. I'm focusing on SD shooting and center of mass is about 8" diameter.
I put another 250 rounds through my service 9mm with no failures. I'm roughly at the 500 mark now and thoroughly hooked. I finally get what some folks say about concentrating on the front sight and being able to call your shots as you pull the trigger.
I still have a ways to go before I'm comfortable saying I'm "good" with it, but I think it's time to go ahead and get things started for my CCW permit
