got a compliment at the range

i was at a local range today with some friends, as always i was shooting very consistantly no matter what pistol i was using. a complete stranger approached and asked if i would shoot his gun, i asked if he was having problems with it or something and he replied "no i just can't hit the plates for crap and i want to see if its the gun or just me". i was shocked as he handed me his pistol with 4 bullets loaded(a newer beretta 9mm with some fancy locking barrel, i dont even know the exact model), anyways the first shot was crap(i wasnt ready for the double action trigger) the next 3 shots pinged nicely off the plates. he said i was more accurate with his pistol in 4 shots than he was with three boxes of ammo. anyways i'm not trying to brag i just never realized how consistent i really can shoot, and i never had anyone approach me like that because i was shooting well. it felt good. my tip for him was my tip for everyone, when you pull the trigger only use your finger tip otherwise you are likely to push the gun or pull the gun when squeezing..... damn i should compete.

That was kind of you - but about that loading in the dark ... I think that is how I ended up shooting a .223 from my WASR10 that one time ...

It always a good thing when you meet nice people at gun ranges, sounds like he got his answer that it might not be the gun that is off

The humorous thing about that incident was, it didn't do any harm to the AK. Gotta love AKs!
