The only issue is the 5 foot of snow on the ground blocking the way.

Range is in the back yard and there is snow mid-thigh the last 100 yards, but where we shoot the drifts have come in 3 separate times and it's literally over 5' of snow. That's a lot.

But I really like your idea on colored snow balls for targets!

I have an XD 45 w/4" barrel and absolutely LOVE the gun. It shoots as well, or better than, my Colt 1911. I wouldn't trade it for the world!

What's up with the band-aid on the trigger guard? Do you need to contour and smooth that area with a dremel?

It's a Tyvek marker band. Carter's charges $5.00 per gun to shoot all day and they tag each gun so the rangemasters know you've paid.

That thing kept tickling my finger throwing me off a little.

The band aid on the trigger guard is the tag that Carter's Country puts on your firearm when you check in. They check in all firearms that you bring into the range and are going to shoot. Just the way they do things there.
