Spent about 4 hours punching holes in paper at the range today.
Started with My Neos and had a pretty good day with <2" groups at 10-15' and 3-4" groups at 21'. My eyes are not what they used to be and beyond that I need a Red Dot (I have one but left it home

). My Neos doesn't like Winchester 555's. It jams half way up the ramp and I need to drop the Mag to clear it. Out of around 250rds I had at least 8 jams and it destroyed the round in most of them (dented the case).
Feeling that I have the trigger and sighting down I moved to my NEW S&W 4013. Boy this gun has a kick. The light alloy frame doesn't absorb much of the recoil. ( I did order new WOLF ( heavier ) recoil springs, they are on the way). I didn't really shoot it well about 3" left on most groups. IT has very dim Night sites on it and I may get new some new sights for it. After about 100rds of WWB 165gr FMJ, 50rds of Federal 180gr FMJ and 50rds of Remington 180gr FMJ I got to 4"groups at 10 &15" but I was all over beyond that.
I moved on to my XD9 Service and just had a great day with 2"-3" groups pretty much at will at 10-21' a few strays when the guy down the range started shooting his 454 (read Loud MOFO). The pic attached is from 15' and is 10rds through 8 holes and no I didn't miss the target they went thru the same holes....

. I went through 150rds of Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ and wish I brought 500rds I was just having a great day with it. ( I have the new sights on it and they really help my poor eyes). (Pics to follow of the new sights).
Running out of 9mm ammo I brought out the XD45 Service. Did ok with Federal 230gr FMJ but shot high left with both Speer and Cor-Bon JHP's. 50rds FMJ, and 20rds each of the Speer and Cor-Bon JHP's.
Over all a pretty fun day at the range. If I can keep up the practice I should be able to start shooting steel in the spring when I join a local club...
