3/3:30 IWB right side, in the winter with a long sleeve t-shirt over it, othwise a loose polo or something, Its tuckable, but that looks a bit weird, hard to make it look natural on me. usually have to move it to about 4:30-5 to get that to work, and than you have to sit on the darn thing.

Also a 5.11 underarmour shirt with underarm holster. A little tougher to get at, but you can conceal it under anything. With a dress shirt on its almost as fast as drawing from my IWB.

What will that 5.11 shirt handle? An XD45 4" perhaps? Seems too big for that, but I read a note somwere from a guy carries a S&W 4013 in his 5.11, and that's only 1/2" smaller and a couple onces lighter.

IWB about 1:00...never really could get into carrying at 3:00...it jabs me in the hip terribly. Plust @ 1:00 I can put my hand in my right front pocket and be very ready to draw.

Strong side "right" about 3:30. Just takes some getting used to when you go to pull the wallet out.

It fits my SC40 very well. I think it could hold the service size guns too, might be a tight fit. Also, you would have to maybe have a looser shirt over it. Its padded so the gun doesn't print much. Its really just a deep cover option since it is much slower to draw than a good IWB

Are there instances of SOB carry actually causing paralysis? The position of a SOB holster places it in the lower Lumbar / upper Sacral regions of the spine. Almost all major nerves come off the spine in the Thorasic / upper Lumbar regions. I can see perhaps how it might increase the pain during a fall, and perhaps even some vertebre damage... but paralysis?? Anatomically, I think it is unlikely.

And just so I don't completely hi-jack the thread, put me down for 3:30 Strong Side IWB.

Pete

Currently

I currently wear mine outside of my jeans. If not right at 3, a bit before it. Right side.

I usually wear larger shirts, and my arm hides it well.

I had been using a FOBUS standard paddle holster.

It made a nasty scratch on my stainless.

I currently use a LEATHER holster from Wild Bill's Concealment.

Easy when I drive, I can undo the seat belt and be ready to pull it all at once.

Tried it with A 9mm Service, the slide length just fits in the pocket vertically, and the grip actually peeks out of the velcro opening a little. Grip would be too long on me and would print a little in front. Maybe somebody who was a little thicker than me in the chest would be OK. With the SC, I can push it down at an angle so the grip doesn't print at all, the service is just too long to do that with. I think its really designed for a smaller carry size gun. The weight wouldn't be an issue, it squeezes the gun tight in under your arm, and the service isn't all that much heavier than the SC
