Guide Rod Spring cracks?

Hi I'm new to this fourm I bought a used XD compact 45 and I noticed a crack on the back of the spring is this normal please help

I don't see a crack. It just looks a well worn guiderod to me. The sc is different, I'm sure the 45 guys will chime in.

Have you fired the gun yet?

Yes I have works good! I googled it and as far as the 45 compact Go's mine is not the only one with a crack thank's for answering

The pic is too small to see a crack if there is one... does it appear to be a deep crack, a surface crack, or just an imperfection?

At any rate, if I were concerned about it I would just replace it.
