Philippines--where to buy

Hi guys,

anyone here who knows of a store or dealer or distributor here in the Philippines?

I have been trying to get my hands on one of SA XD9 subcompact but I cannot find a store that sells it. Stronghands sell HS2000 but they donít have the subcompact that I want.

Thanks!

Wecome and a Few Questions???

It might be tough to fulfill your desire. The firearm
is still known as the HS2000 outside of the US of A.

It is my understanding that all models of the SA-XD
will not be offered up in the HS2K models sold outside
of the US of A.

By the way welcome to the forum.

While I am bending your ear, what is the status of
getting replacement parts for the HS2K in your
country? I only ask because the importer here in
this country, SA will not sell replacement parts to
a gun owner. One has to send their firearm into the
factory for any repair work and replacement of parts.

Hi Ed,

You'll have to send it back to them; this was according to the girl I have spoken with.
I am not really sure how it works between them or if that arrangement still holds true for SA. Donít know much about the dealer, I just happen to stumble upon them on this site http://www.xd-hs2000.com/manuals/manuals.html only to find out that they have so subcompact.

Thanks Ed!

Regards

@Ed Ely

Good day sir!

I loved my xdm .40 but my problem for a year now is where to buy an extra magazine. I shoot IPSC and IDPA with it, i've never encountered any problem with it.

HS 2000 in the Philippines

I bought my 9mm compact from Stronghand Inc. about 5 years ago. Got the trigger kit from Springer Precision and had a local gunsmith install it. Also installed a Crimson Trace laser.

I have been very happy with my HS. It sure beats carrying a steel 1911 around.

I am now thinking of getting a subcompact, but am taking my time since the price of the HS in the Philippines is more than twice of what you pay for in the US (and you have to add $100 to get a license; a carry permit costs a little over $200 per year for us in the provinces).

This information a got from this forum was instrumental in my choosing the HS over a Glock . I haven't regretted the choice.

Thanks, guys.

Welcome to the forum.

HI Ed, been here for quite a while but it's only now that i stumble upon this thread, Thanks for wishing as well, but if your interested to know the availability of XD/HS parts ddown here, i can say that Stronghand has quite a few,3in bbl sells at 10k pesos, that would be around 220US$, recoil springs @800pesos/ 20US$,and so on, but maybe this one will stir your interest, XDms sells for 70k pesos, roughly around 1.6kUS$, sounds crazy but a lot is biting that, will keep you updated, BTW, thanks for having us here!!! More power to XDTalk!!!

How hard is it to bring personal guns (pistols, shotguns, etc) into Philippines from USA? Say someone is retiring to the Philippines from the US and the wife is dual citizen of US/Filipino?

Hi, very hard i heard, you have to secure a lot of clearances and permits to do that or at least have a Filipino contact that is into legal importation of such but i think it would'nt be wise, but if you would ever come here and settle, that i would assure that you will not have a hard time acquiring your favorite FAs that is if you're willing to pay(more than twice than your SRP back there) like we all do.

What about mags? Anything illegal about shipping those to the Philippines?
