I guess you could call being a coastie law enforcement and maybe military service. Not exactly an MP, but a pretty close second.

Yes the Coast Guard is a branch of the Military, and yes they conduct alot of Law Enforcement.

I'm very aware of the coast guard mission and used them quite a few times. In the past they were DOT and not part of DOD except in times of war. Their law enforcement role is more or less a combination of game warden, maritime antismuggling (drugs/people), and patrolling waterways for partygoers (a lot of that has been taken over by local law enforcement). The coast guard is pretty unique in that they do provide a valuable mission. But, they really aren't police or military except on paper. That actually works to their benefit for the various hats that they have to wear.

I thought we were, meaning "US Patriot" and myself, talking about LEOs? I don't think many if any LE offices use MecGar magazines. So we'd be talking about stock magazines. Regardless at this point, we're just going around in circles. I'll let you have the last word if you must which it seems to be the case. On a side note, stop calling people names, immaturity is not something that should go hand in hand with firearms.

Anyways yes the Coast Guard is military. Yes they are Law Enforcement. They enforce laws on the water, just as police do on land. If they are not military then why the basic training, why have rank, why have A school just like the Navy, why get paid just like the other four branches? The coast guard also has spacific LE teams. Port security is a reserve job only. Infact they use them in Iraq for port security. Thet also have MSST (marine safety, and security teams) which are basicly swat teams on water. Do not forget LEDET (law enforcement detatchment), and TACHLET (tachtical law enforcement team). Lastly lets not forget the Hitron unit stationed in Miami. Spacificly used to hunt down drug runners. What would I know though I was only in the Coast Guard myself. It's ok for everyone else to act like they know everything. Though when someone else comes back with an opnion or fact then you take it to heart?

I did not know by saying someone is acting like a child, that it was infact calling someone names! Now do you like people following you around after every post, with smart *** comments? I'm guessing you probably do not. Again I was not speaking of LEO's using MecGar mags. The whole discussion started with MecGar eighteen round mags, and why people care to carry an extra two rounds. Then yes it turned into law enforcement topic. I do not care to have the last word, but I will not be talked to like I'm an idiot. If you can not handle having a conversation, without having someone else expessing their opinion rather if you agree or not. Well then maybe you should not read, or repply to posts?

I stated on a several occasions that I respect your opinions even though I may not agree with them.

I found a few of your buttons and I started pushing them, your response was to say that I was acting like a child. You made the decision to let my posting bother you. Personally, I enjoy discourse.

That's quite an ego you have there. I will dismantle anybody's post if I strongly disagree with what they are saying or if I think they are just talking nonsense. Not everyone takes this personally.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'll be back later, I'm going to go ride my big wheel. Don't worry, I'll be locked and loaded with +1.
