New Surefire E2 Executive for EDC

Here's a photo of my new EDC light, the Surefire E2E. It's on the left, with the Surefire G2 on the right and a 1911 for size reference. It's only about 1/2" thinner than the G2, but that makes a huge difference for pocket carry. Plus, it has a pocket clip and click-on tailcap. The bezel has slight scallops as well, so you can tell it's on when you set it bezel-down on a table.

Performance-wise, it throws a bit wider light, thanks to the smaller, shallower bezel. Output is the same as the G2, with a bit mroe runtime. Best of all, it slips into a pocket much more easily than a G2, which means I have no excuse to go without a light now.

I like the light been lookin at one trying to justify the $$$$ they are nice.
are those VZ grips on your 1911????????? I have a set of VZ320's on mine and been looking at that style also.

NICE!!!! I've got the G2 and use it for work a lot! The thing that sucks is Surefire just raised the price on the batteries and they're pricey as it is! Speaking of... I need to order new batts since I've been out for a month now ICK!

Thanks. Yep, they're VZs and I can't say enough good things about them. They're the 320 Gatorback slimlines, and they make a great gun even better for CCW. I feel well prepared for anything with the 1911 on my hip, especially when there's the E2e and a reload weakside!

to bad VZ don't make any for a compact I'd have a set in a minute, but i think I'm gonna order a set of gatorbacks for my commander, i have a set of 320's in red with black linen on 1 of my PT1911's
