attn mtb'ers and runners: camelbak demon? goblin?

I try to get as many miles in on the bike and on foot that time permits. my chl paperwork is off to dps. I'm remembering all the times I've been out on the trail either running or mountain biking without a soul around.

I contemplated some DIY solution by modifying one of my camelbaks, but nothing I could think of would sufficiently insulate the firearm from my prodigious amounts of sweat, and allow for a quick draw. then I saw the camelbak demon, and that seemed like just the trick. sometimes for longer runs I'll wear a belt that holds a water bottle. since I'm already wearing that, why not have the goblin that can hold my (well, soon to be mine when my deal with the_Duke is closed ) xd40sc in addition to my water?

I'd appreciate a review from anyone uses these, or has solved the problem in a different way.

I don't have a review, but I love to bike and would certainly like to see what you are talking about. Do you have a link? I've seen several purses that have hidden pockets accessable from the outside. They have little nylon holsters that are velcroed to the inside wall. This could be a solution for your camelbak. I was thinking about doing that with mine.

there is a pretty good review over on glocktalk:
http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?...=&pagenumber=2

the owner liked it, faulting it only for the velcro access (not stealthy) and position (owner had trouble getting a smooth draw from where it sits).

but on the whole, these both seem like a very good idea. around here during summer wearing one of these to the park, around the neighborhood, or wherever would draw ZERO attention.

For mtb riding and hiking, I use fanny pack I bought from Wilson Combat. I'm doing some backcountry stuff, epics, singlespeed, etc. I really like the fanny pack - adjusted right (wear on left hip for crossdraw), doesn't bounce around.

Couldn't carried in my hawg (easily), but not quick access, so what's the point?
