Actually, I just thought of what it reminds me of; a kid's video game, with the bells and whistle noises. You don't need it. Other than that it is informative.

I actually like this triangle sight idea. I think the idea has merit.
Any chances these will be avaialble for a Hi-Power or Sig 220 later on?
...just curious.

Leibster,
When do you plan on having them available for the XD?

RatMan,
We do want to start making XD sights as soon as possible, but we don't yet have an ETA.

Leibster -
It's hard when someone calls your baby "wacky". But you took it well. I admire anyone who is not afraid to try something new in order to make an improvement. Naysayers probably scorned airplanes, lightbulbs, automobiles, and even the transition to the venerable 1911 Colt. On the other hand, the "Wackiness" title for this thread sure got the attention of forum members!
I've experimented with a few different sights (3 dot) for a while, and now I want to try something radically different. My application is fast aqcuisition. So the choice is now down to either the XS SIGHT SYSTEMS (the "dot the i" sight), or your SURESIGHT. I'm thinking that Gestalt principle may apply to either system. However it more naturally applies to the completion of your triangle.
I would really be interested in trying a Tritium version of the SureSight. In extreme low-light conditions, Tritium would allow our eyes to quickly adjust to the sights after flashing a LED flashlight in a room. Maybe that's just impractical, as a Tritium-based SureSight would probably be very expensive.
Of course, your system is not ready for XD yet, but when it is, I look forward to trying it. In the mean-time, I think I will give the XS a try.
Keep up the good work and the inventive spirit -
Mike

leibster,
i sent an email to both you and the sureshot contact person, but hadn't heard back from either of you. i like the sights, and i liked the website. however, reading some of the testimonials, i noticed one from the Kentucky Metropolitan Probation Department or something like that. As I'd never heard of that, I asked more about it in the email I sent you('s). Care to give any more info on where that testimonial came from? I couldn't find the person's name in my global address book (Commonwealth of Kentucky), nor in Department of Corrections.
Thanks.

I know you don't have them for the XD yet but are working on it. Could you give a rough timeline(weeks, months ,years)as to when you are thinking they may become available? I am in the market for sights right now and would like these but I won't be able to wait a long time for them, as my night sights need replacing very very soon and if I buy some other sights I won't have the funding for these. So I am trying to figure out if I should wait a bit longer or buy TFO's or something instead. Thanks for any info.

What's the point of this post? Leibster is a respected member here and deserves better than implied accusations. I'd continue to address any concerns you might have using PM unless you don't receive any response following repeated attempts.

that's what i did-sent an email both to leibster and to the contact at sureshot, and hadn't received a reply either way. therefore, i posted here, since i knew that leibster at least visits here. and in the email, i complimented him and sureshot on the sights.
so don't read into anything, i was merely trying to communicate with him.
fwiw, i got an email today, advising that there was a death in the family and apologized for not replying sooner, but said he would definitely look into the matter.
