got the Hogue slip on grips.

went local to pick it up for 10 bucks. feels great! cant wait till i take them to the range.
i put them on and then cut around the dove tail safety. worked great, no sliping at all. no hairspray needed. cant post pics though.. yet.

now just waiting on my DGR and #18 spring to come in. i ordered last night, doubt i'll see it before next week sometime. gonna try and resist the urge to go shooting before then so i can get the full effect

cheers

Talking Great aren't they?

I got my Hogue handall slip-on 2 days ago at a local gun store. $10 as well. I used a paper hole punch to cut a notch for the grip safety, then straightened the edges with a pair if scissors. That way the bottom of the notch would be rounded and (hopefully) not tear if I need to take it off and on.

For me, it really put the already great XD grip over the top. Back when I was looking to buy a handgun, I tried out a Taurus 24/7 Pro with the "ribber" grip, and I loved how it felt. I ultimately settled on a XD, but with the addition to this grip, it feels much like the Taurus.

Thanks kraigster414 . Good word play! Luckily I don't have to worry about that anymore. I'm married but I remember the "good old" days, ahem.

monsterdawg725 - I've never had any slipping problems but the feel is much more positive with the hogue grips. I get the sensation of having a fuller hand with the swells. I also like the finger ridges on the front of the grip. The grip felt good to me plain, but it feels custom to me now and I never doubt if my grip is consistent. I used to sort of re-squeeze just to firm up my hand wrap. I don't anymore.

Now I'm confused. Are we talking about the Hogue or the condom?

Dammit, I knew that was coming. (No pun intended, but I seem to be on a subconscious roll. Freudian slippage?)

to be honest, i never noticed there where swells on both sides of the grip till i put the hogues on.
i dont see any need to take mine off, but i surely wouldnt hesitate in dropping another ten dollars on one if the need should arise.

i cut mine after they where on, so i didnt rip them, works fine thus far.
cant wait to try em out for real.

I've always thought the handalls were a little cheap since its not like the full grip of say a 92f, but it seems like I might have to try them out. At only $10 it couldnt hurt.
