Do I need raised sights for my suppressed XDM?
hey all, new here. moved from NYC to FL, so now im finally allowed to own a gun that isnt limited to ONLY shooting water.
Anyways i have an XDM 9mm with a 4.5" barrel. My threaded StormLake barrel arrives next week & my SWR Octane 9 HD a week after that. Will it be necessary for me to get raised sights due to the can blocking the stock ones? If so, what kind do you recommend? Brightest & best quality, i dont mind spending a few extra bucks...
Also, an input on quiet ammo? ive heard the Fiocchi 158gr sub sonics on a friends Glock with a Gemtech suppressor & they were extremely quiet...

Any sub-sonic ammo should work for ammo. I run imi, cci, and Remington and once in a great moon some black hill. Can't really help ya on the sights, I am not running it thru my XD.

Ameriglo is what I have on my FNP .45. I like them a lot. They make a set for the XD line also.

Ive heard good things about the Ameriglo's but do you think they will have clearance without the suppressor blocking them? Most ppl i know dont bother with sights & say that theyve learned to shoot without them since the suppressor gets in the way..

do you mean that your suppressor has been approved for you to pickup next week or that is is arriving to your dealer... just not sure how long you have been waiting if you just moved to FL...
good luck... the stormlake barrel may need some minor fitting...
just giving you some ideas... fastfire III on xd specific burris mount...

Just had to file the barrel hood slightly as it was too thick and kept barrel from going into battery. It's hit or miss if it's drop in..
Also waiting on my osprey can... July is my expected approval date...
