I have a firefield 120 lumen tac light similar to this,

Amazon.com: Firefield Pistol Flashlight: Home Improvement Amazon.com: Firefield Pistol Flashlight: Home Improvement

its generally the same. I think I have an older style of the same light.

I don't use it because the switch is poorly designed. it turns on in the one holster and will kill the battery. I leave it on the desk (off the weapon) and if it gets knocked over onto the "on" side it will turn on.

the light flickers but that may be the battery and not the light its self. the new battery I just put in it is dead. I have a spare I need to find and put in.

I think there are better options as a weapon light and probably better options for a flashlight.

There is in my opinion no better tac lights then Streamlight. They have a number of different styles and also light/ laser combos.

You want fries with that!?

I use a Streamlight TLR-1s on my Sig P226. For around $120 I don't know if there is a better deal or light out there.

I second this one. Streamlight makes good stuff. My next light will probably be a TLR-1s. Insight makes good stuff too. I have an Insight XTI Procyon. Bought it used off a buddy of mine. Paid under $100 for it in perfect shape with the original box and everything. Either way you go, you are going to get a quality light that's going to hold up to anything. Good luck with your search. Be sure to post some pictures once you make your decision and get it installed and all that good stuff...

Save up a little more and get the Viridian X5L Gen 2.

You won't be disappointed.

My $.02 on flashlights.
I do not like rail mounted lights, they are giving the intruder something to aim at. also they do not illuminate the sights.

I prefer a hand held flashlight, LED, metal preferably with a serrated end, the length should allow each end to protrude an inch or 2 from both ends of the hand.
The flashlight should be held above the head angled down so that it will illuminate both the intruder and the front sight.

If you want a light mounted on your pistol, get a laser, unbeatable combination for home defense.

Just a technical note:

The streamlights TLR-1 and 2 are for 4" and 5" and the 3/4 are made smaller for a 3" subcompact gun, and compromise in brightness and battery life.

The odd models (1/3) are flashlights only and the even models (2/4) are laser light combos.

The "s" model refers to strobe function.

Hope this helps finding the right model quickly.
