I ordered a PRP Drop in Trigger for my XDM .40 compact last week. Let me start out by saying the guys and girls at PRP are a class act. I lost the striker safety lever from my kit and they sent me a new one FREE of charge.
The install itself was very simple and only took about 20-30 mins. I would recommend that while you have the firearm torn apart to give it a good cleaning. The drop in trigger reduced the pre-travel by 50-70%, it reduced the trigger pull from 6.5lbs to 4.0lbs (roughly), it reduced the reset by half, and there is little to no over travel now. All in all I love the feel of the trigger and how it preforms compared to the factory trigger.
Today was the first time I've had the chance to take her to the range and break her in. I shot roughly 400 rounds today and had 3 light primer strikes out the gate. I switched from the cheap wolf steel case ammo (.40) and started to shoot federal brass. After that I had no more issues so I just chalked the first three FTF up to crappy ammo.
After 400 rounds I can say I am officially in love with the new trigger. It's a little stiffer than my PRP ultimate trigger job but still just as nice. I shot a lot of controlled double tap drills today and managed to put the bullet near or touching the same hole.
CRAPPY CELL PHONE PIC FROM THE RANGE
