My Streamlight TLR-1 won't stay in place.

So I've got a TLR-1 on my XD but when I take it to the range after a mag or two the light has "walked" it self forward and is about to come off the rail. I've cranked down on the tightening screw and it still moves. Could it be because the rail is plastic? My TLR-1 stays on perfect on my AR-15 but its on a metal rail.

i have the TLR 3 and it has a "key" you have to put in the rail and it would be impossible for it to move foward as you are saying. does the TRL 1 not have the key/work differently?

It came with a couple different keys ... which one did you use? None said they were directly for the XD so I thought I could do without it.

Thats why I like the Insight M-3. They have a spring-loaded detent rather than a key.

I just put the Glock key in and it works perfect! That was easy.
