Subcompact light rail

Hey guys, new to the forum, but not so new to springfield or handguns in general. If you look at my avatar you'll see my EDC baby. Anyway... I just bought a 9mm subcompact and am looking into getting a light for the rail. visual inspection tells me that the rail is shorter than the full size, so does that mean I must buy a specific subcompact mount, or will any of the lights work? I would just go look at one in person, but I'm an internet buying junkie, plus my LGS' know about as much as I do. Thanks in advance.

I like the Streamlight TLR-3 on my Sub Compact as it is short, but I recall that I can slip on the full size TLR-1, fits fine on the rail, but alot overhanging on the front side that I did not like. So I think the rail part is pretty standard, hopefully some others will chime in.

The Insight X-2 is nearly as compact as the XDc. Its what I keep on my XD45c.
