Price of a new gun??? It was only about $85 and I didn't have to disassemble the slide.
I think there's about a $50 difference between a new bitone and black, but once you've bought it, you're choices are limited.
BTW - I finally got around to shooting it. The slide action is so much smoother - a very noticeable difference. And after 200 rnds, it wiped off clean with a soft gun cloth. I cleaned it when I got home and found nothing remarkable about cleaning it. I used Hoppes 9, some aerosol spray gun cleaner and CLP on it. No smudging or smearing or finger prints. I finished up with a little 409 around the sights. It handled them all well, though it looked a little dull after first spraying it with the aerosol cleaner. But perked back up with Hoppes or CLP.
Also, the brushed aluminum color is a tad brighter than the factory bitone, but I'm happy with the choice I made.
