Streamlight products are American made. 25 rounds is nothin'. People on here have put over 1000 rounds through their gun with a streamlight attached. I'm not saying the light you bought is bad, I'm just saying, just cause it looks like a streamlight, doesn't mean it is even half the quality. Plus laserspeed only gives a 1 year warranty and streamlight gives a life time warranty.
My guess is because it's a direct rip off of the tlr-2, even the font is a rip off, that's it's probably Chinese made. They make clones of everything then sell it at a fraction of the cost. The clones generally hold up for a while then start to have problems.

To the op, congrats on your new light/laser combo, if it works for you, that's all that matters...Enjoy it and shoot safe... I got a tlr-2 and love it, to each his own...

i think 25+ rounds would be enough for any defensive encounter and if it failed at 50 so what your probly only going to have that one encounter in the hole of your life as a non leo so its money well spent in my book

Trust me, I would have loved to buy a TRL-2. But for what I was planning on using it for the price was too much. If I was into combat competitions and used a laser I would have went with something much smaller and known for quality.
When I go to the range I'm not going to have this unit mounted. What fun would it be to point a laser at the target and pull the trigger????
Having this unit on the pistol and trying to find a holster for concealed carry is extremely hard. So that is why it sits in my nightstand and waits to be clicked onto my xd when I go to bed.
I understand that the stream light is proven and the laserspeed is not. I took that risk. From the few reviews I have seen on line, people seem to be very pleased with this unit.
Its just another option. If you don't like it because you have never tried it then so be it. Like another poster mentioned. I'm not hunting zombies every night with it. So if it only holds for 50 rounds then that is more than I'm ever going to put into a person entering my home.

So what holster would you use for this light on for an XDM 9? Im really tempted to buy it, just need to know what holster would be used for this application.

If you don't practice with it, what's the point of having it on a defensive weapon?
I most certainly wouldn't hang anything on my HD pistol without having thoroughly vetted it first...

Once again Cuda is right on point. I've seen guys at the range with lasers and they still were not able to hit where they were pointing the thing.
You have to practice with what you are going to use and get as proficient as possible with it. Bottom line.
