I ordered a set last week and am still awaiting them. I liked the idea of the larger front dot so I figured I'd give 'em a try.

I've been looking at my XDM 40 for the past 5 min. and I can't seem to see how you could change the sites and if you do is there a special tool.

Apparently, according to a local gun shop, Springfield themselves recommend to use a hammer and punch. When I called Trijicon, they stated that they should not be installed without a press and not to use a hammer and punch. i won't be installing them so I wont have to worry. I think James with XD-HS2000 will do mine as soon as they arrive.
