New XD9 SC - C5L Laser/Light Holster

Hi all,

I just purchased (2 weeks ago) an XD9 9mm Sub-Compact. This is my first SA pistol and am very happy with it. I'm taking my CCW classes this weekend and chose this pistol as my CC.

I couldn't decide which laser to put on it so I got both the Veridian C5L (Laser/Light combo) and the Crimson Trace. They are both currently on the gun.

So far I really like the Veridian C5L. I like the Green Laser as it is highly visible during the day and super visible in the dark.

There is one thing that I do not like about the Veridain C5L. After shooting only 200 rounds, the GSR covered the laser so much that the Laser was barely visible. Of course this is because the Laser is so close to the tip of the gun. I took it home and it was a pain to clean completely. However, if and when I need to use it for SD, that is going to be a non-issue... hopefully.

Anyways... I still would like to use the Veridian C5L for the light if not for the laser since I'll be keeping the CT on for the laser. Plus I don't want to go out and spend more $$ for just a light. I already have close to $1000 invested in it.

So... to my question... Those of you that have the Veridian C5L on the XD9 SC... what IWB holster do you use? If there isn't a stock one available... who does the best custom work?

Thanks for your input!

Pictures

Sure... no problem. Here are pics.

I just shot 100 rounds today... as you can see.. the GSR at the tip and covered the Veridian C5L.

Here is a front view of the Veridian C5L with a layer of GSR on the light and laser

Here are pics of the gun after a quick cleaning.

Thanks, I been debating on whether to get a CT lase (I have one on two other guns) or go with something different and try the Veridian CL5 or something like a streamlight flashlight only.

Sorry... I didn't have any luck finding one. I ended up keeping the CT and gave the C5L to my girlfried. Lol it's pretty sweet on a Kal-tec.

I did not realize that the CT grip actually extended the beaver tail I've been seeing the ext beavertail mod for $200 by itself. I think I might be able to talk the wife into $60 more for a CT and extended beaver tail in one package.

Thanks for the pics. PM me if you want to sell the CT.
