Fast service on new sights from Springfield

I sent my XD9 to the custom shop at Springfield Monday,08/09 for new sights.I decided to go with the fixed Springfield Custom tritium night sights. They said it would take 2 weeks.Well, they shipped my pistol back to me yesterday, the 12th,and despite much drama caused by FedEx(long story),it was back in my hands today, the 13th.The sights look great;looking forward to getting out to the range.Great service,Springfield!

+1 on SA Custom Shop speed of service.

My slide with new sights were back in my hands in about a week, and that included a holiday weekend.

I'd be very interested to hear feedback on that, too. I'd like to drop the trigger weight a bit, maybe tweak the over travel, too, so I'm trying to figure out if I want to go with Springer, Canyon Creek or the SA Custom shop.

SA is quite a bit more price wise, but I'd love to hear if there's a major difference between them and the other kits available. Thanks!

So i have a question... did you send just the slide out? or did you send the entire gun... i always wonder about the sight jobs... do they test fire it for you to make sure that it shoots straight?

I sent the entire gun.As far as it shooting straight,I haven't been able to get to the range since I got it back. The main thing I was interested in was getting it to shoot POA/POI,instead of with the 6 o'clock sight picture;I just could not get used to that.I asked a lady in the custom shop about that before I sent it off;she said to note on the work order that you send in with the gun for them to bore sight it for POA/POI.I've got my fingers crossed that it will shoot that way.
