OH PEOPLE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I have looked at quite a few laser systems. i have the crimson trace on my commander an couldn't be happier. the ct for the glock looks great but will not avail due to the grip safety. lasermax has a good one, but expensive! also i have don's guide rod in the xd and do not want to replace it. i read about their torture tests but i am still leary about replacing a component that takes that much abuse with a laser, failure is not an option. as for why do i want a light on my ccw? because i can, and i don't want to fiddle around with connecting a light to it when i am out at nite, which i am due to my job. i suppose a generic nylon type holser would work with some modification but would be quite ugly. thanx
