I been comparing my new stainless usp slide to my bi tone xd and it seem my XD has a brownish tint to it. The XD is my first eyecandy firearms so it might be that I don't know how to properly clean it. I've been using hoppes's 9 bore cleaner to clean the slide then oiling it up with Hoppes's 9 oil. Hoppe's oil seem to leave a bluish tint to the finish but when I wipe off the excess oil you can see a browish finish. My question is do hope stain stainless or is this the natural finish to my XD?
