Rust How Bad Is It
I have owned a 1976 Ruger BI centennial 38 since new. I have never had a rust problem. It even did not rust where the blue rubbed off from holster rub. I am looking to buy a xd 9 or a xd 40 new. What can I expect? Will I have a rust issue? The ruger been put up at least ten years without any oil on it and believe it or not no rust.

Welcome to the forum. I don't think rust is an issue. I have a .45 Compact that I carry daily, winter & summer that shows almost no signs of wear even from being in & out of a holster, let alone rust. I would buy, shoot & enjoy!

I have a pre-melonite XD and have had absolutely no rust whatsoever
