If you dont have someone prep it for you professionally. Just make sure you yourself do an extremely good job. Follow the instructions to a tee and make sure you have it as clean as possible. If your doing a bunch of guns that go for it, if your only doing one or two, you ll spend more money on supplies then what you could have it done by someone else for.

I can give you more tips if you want, just shoot me an email guns@customizedcreationz.com

Do you work for whoever produces Cerakote? I am just asking because I have seen you pushing that finish a lot on here.

Then a bag of abrasive blast media at Harbor frieght for something like $15. With this process the moly-resin will stick on your gun forever. I did one of my AK's this way and there is no way to scratch the finish, under normal use of course. The only downside to the abarsive blasting is that it will make the finish slightly more of a matte finish.
I bought the bottom of the line blast gun for refinishing a .22 and my Saiga. I wish that I'd have stepped up and bought something a little better. The one that I bought does not have an abrasive shut-off valve. It will pour abrasive if tilted nose-down, no matter if the air is flowing or not. Other than that it works well
