rust removal - XDTalk Forums

Any help on removing a small amount of rust on the slide? I must have put it away with some sweat on it. Do yo uneed to oil each time you use??

I keep a silicone impregnated rag on top of my gun safe to help remind me to wipe my guns's down when I put them into the safe. The small issues I have had with rust on my XD's has been solved with a good wipe down with either CLP or Hoppes No9.

CLP breakfree. Let it soak and then wipe it off. Then as previously mentioned have one of those silicone clothes handy when putting stuff away. I had to do the same thing.
